Simplemente, estancia increíble !

Todo ! Ubicación buena, buscábamos tranquilidad y desconexión. La comida excelente, tanto por la calidad como por la variedad de platos (nosotros buscábamos comer platos Mexicanos y hay una amplia variedad . Pero tmb hay opciones no locales como alitas o hamburguesas). Recomiendo el lunch en Coral y cenas en La Marea. El desayuno también es brutal ! El personal es muy muy atento. Todos tienen su “función” y no pierden detalle (durante la comidas, en l piscina, si necesitas toallas al llegar, servicio de habitaciones como reponer más agua en nuestro caso porque bebimos mucho o bajar los portico es cuando anochece…). Eso si, siempre dejando que los huéspedes tengamos nuestra intimidad en la villa. Destacaríamos el camarero Pepe que nos ha tendido unos días con un trato más que excelente y muy atento cuando no teníamos bebidas en la zona piscina. En general, todo el recinto está “hecho” para relajarse, con pocas villas, mucha desconexión, villas impresionantes, servicios en habitación….y muchos pequeños detalles he han hecho de nuestros últimos días de la luna de miel excelentes. Esperamos volver para celebrar un aniversario !!

Nada !! Realmente estamos contentos de haber ido a Viceroy, un lugar extraordinario y único para desconectar, tener intimidad, comida excelente y variada, cócteles y alcohol de primeras marcas… Podríamos mencionar el precio. Pero después de haber estado, esta más he justificado ! Y como comentaba, esperamos volver con mi marido ???? Nada Que ver con complejos hoteleros masificados.

The staff is amazing. They are receptive and thoughtful. The rooms were incredibly comfortable and clean. The plunge pool was a highlight. Eating by the water was balm for the soul.

Top Notch Eco Luxury!

We loved the jungle walking path and feeling like we were in a jungle. We loved the outdoor shower and the plunge pool. We loved the welcome we received with little extras! The service details were spectacular! Staff did everything to make sure we were comfortable and relaxed. We visited the spa facilities as well and enjoyed that! It never felt crowded and the animals we saw were a highlight as well!

The price of our room per night was A LOT! I think if I were to pay that much again I would expect a bigger room or a loft to separate beds from next to each other.

The Viceroy is a beautiful hotel set in the loveliest of forests. There is nothing like it anywhere.

The breakfasts were good and, as long as it was not raining, the site was perfect. However, the indoors venue was claustrophobic, cold and dimly lit

As it was frequently cold, there should be some sort of heating in the bedroom and bathroom which would also help to deal with the feeling of damp and cold damp towels. The lighting in the bedroom was poor and, in the bathroom, abysmal. The water pressure in the shower was totally inadequate. Its controls were unfathomable to start with and something needs to be done to stop the cold water running rather hot for some time.

A wonderful hotel which is let down by poor cooking and some totally untrained staff

The location was excellent.

Fried eggs were very badly cooked probably by someone with no cooking skills. The coffee was luke warm each day and very seldom was it served with sugar and sweeteners. The bread you serve is really appalling US supermarket type bread. I was told it was made on the premises. If this is so you need to employ someone who makes real bread. Why no fresh orange juice? Oranges out of season? I think it's the middle of the season in December.

Overall, it was still a good experince and we felt good about the place. We left with positive feelings.

We have stayed 5 nights at the hotel for our honeymoon in the superior villa with the private pool. To start with, the welcoming staff was extremely nice and we loved the personal touch with handmade soaps and mezcal tasting ritual at the arrival. The villa was even bigger than expected, beds are comfortable. we had a very good spa experience; highly recommended. Loved the privacy and overall feeling of the place.

Since the hotel has the “jungle” concept we were ready to have some “visitors” during the night just as our previous accomodation in Tulum; which was conceptially fine. However our experience in Viceroy was rather traumatic for me. At the first night, I woke up with some sort of scratching noise followed with a couple of animal footsteps and when I looked up, I saw a beaver rushing out of the roof. That was sleepless nights all the way for me. The hotel manager was very helpful and placed us in another villa for the night and promised to have the gaps in the roof filled by the morning however every night, hearing animals walking and making noises above us kept me sleepless as I was not sure if we will have another animal inside; again. Also as the insulation is the issue by the nature of the how villas were built, be ready for extremely loud music from another hotel or club nearby (not sure) until 2:30am on Saturday. The other days they stop by 9-10pm. Another unexpected feature from a luxury resort is the staff around the pool area. They are constantly next to you to ask you whether you would like something to eat or drink up to a point that becomes very disturbing. I have seen many comments about how attentive they are and how wonderful their service is so it may be a cultural thing for me to feel like this behaviour was more for being pushed for “consuming” rather than “being taken care of”. The hotel has a romantic setup with a calmimg atmosphere, I don’t want someone constantly interrupting my space and time to ask what I would like to drink more.

« Farniente et decouverte playa carmen »

Notre bungalow etait le plus grand et le plus beau. Les restaurants etaient tres bons , petits déjeuners exquis. Le personnel d une gentillesse sans egal. Les prix sont moins élevés que dans les autres hotels de la même catégorie.

Il y a une partie mensongère dans la pub de cet hotel. On a l impression lorsqu’on regarde les photos, que la plage est grande spacieuse, sable blanc devant l hotel.. et non…. La plage est petite et vous devez descendre par des rochers ( chaussures obligatoires) car il y a des oursins partout, sans parler du loueur de jet ski fou qui navigue à grande vitesse sur le seul endroit ou vous pouvez nager toutes les 2 minutes ! Je dois quand même dire qu une nuit , l hotel d a cote avait un dj qui a hurlé jusqu a 00.15! On avait l impression que notre chambre ( pas d isolation: toit chaume) etait au milieu de la fete… L hotel nous a gentiment offert le diner du lendemain pour nous dédommager… Pas de salle de sport, en renovation. Pas de navette pour aller playa carmen. Salle de bain du rdc qui ne fonctionne pas.

„Tolles Hotel, aber sehr hohe Preise

Schöne, tropische Anlage mit sehr schönen Villen. Ruhig und nicht überlaufen. Gutes Essen, tolle Cocktails.

Neben Villa 14 war die Entlüftung des Restaurants- Laut und Küchengerüche. Nebenkosten für Essen (Pizza Margherita 32 Euro) und Getränke (Bier 15 Euro, Cocktail 26 Euro,Flasche Wein ab 70 Ruro) she, sehr hoch-unnormal für Mexiko. Serivce sehr schwankend-Zimmerreinigung erst 15:15 Uhr am Nachmittag, einmal wurde Turn Down Service vergessen, es wurde nicht aufgefüllt, Eartezeit zu lange und dann einmal kaltes Essen bekommen.
